Stoneform® anatomy and composition

Stoneform® Flooring Anatomy: What makes it so special?

Stoneform® is a revolutionary type of flooring that is both beautiful and durable. It is made from a composite of nearly 70% limestone and 30% virgin non-recycled PVC, which makes it ultra-stable and resistant to warping, cracking, and separating.

But what makes Stoneform® flooring truly special is its anatomy. Each plank is made up of four distinct layers:

  1. Ceramic bead infused wear layer: This top layer is made from UV cured urethane with an added level of aluminum oxide to make it more scratch and dent resistant. It is also infused with ceramic beads for added durability.
  2. Design curated print film: This layer is responsible for the realistic wood look that Stoneform® flooring is known for. It is also UV protected to prevent fading.
  3. Proprietary stone composite core: This layer is made from the limestone and PVC composite that gives Stoneform® flooring its strength and durability. It is also 100% waterproof and impervious to mildew, mold, rot, and bacteria.
  4. IXPE sound absorption padding: This bottom layer is made from IXPE foam, which is an excellent insulator and has a high IIC sound absorption rating. This helps Stoneform® flooring feel warm underfoot and dampens sound.

The Unilin locking system makes Stoneform® flooring easy to install and the ideal DIY project to elevate your home. No tapping is required, as the planks simply click together.

With its unique anatomy and construction, Stoneform® is the perfect choice for anyone looking for a beautiful, durable, and easy-to-install flooring solution.
